The Cleveland Museum of Art’s newly renovated 1916 building may not open to the public until this Sunday (June 29), but you can catch an early peak inside with ideastream®! Tune to 90.3 WCPN Thursday at noon for a live broadcast from the museum’s rotunda, as host Dee Perry speaks with the curators behind the multi-million dollar renovation. Then Thursday night, turn your TV to WVIZ/PBS at 7:30 for a special edition of Applause profiling the building’s new look. Also, Friday during Morning Edition, tune in for Eric Wellman’s investigation into the dollars and “sense” behind the renovation.

It's widely considered to be the most expensive project ever undertaken by an Ohio cultural institution. But the CMA is far from alone when it comes to plans for expansion. ideastream®'s Eric Wellman found out major art museums across the country are looking at a similar picture.
