The year 2000 marked Brubeck’s 80th birthday celebration and he continues to produce music as a recording artist for the Cleveland-based Telarc record label. He also contributed valuable sound bites to documentary filmmaker Ken Burns’ 10 part series, “JAZZ.” Jazz Tracks host Bobby Jackson spoke to Mr. Brubeck during the summer of 2000 on a variety of subjects.
