Any time there’s a new disc featuring Miles Davis from the late 1950s which was one of his most productive periods musically; it’s always worth a listen. ideastream’s Dan Polletta tells us about a new release featuring the trumpeter and his band in a collection of live broadcasts from the period. One section, in particular stands out because of the rare combination of personnel.
