Richard Haass Delivers Oberlin Commencement

It's one thing when a person disagrees with his or her boss, but it's another thing when that boss is the President of the United States. In his recent book, War of Necessity, War of Choice, Richard Haass writes about his time at the State Department as Colin Powell's director of policy planning. He was there in the run up to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and frequently found himself at odds with the Bush administration over those and other foreign policy issues. Richard Haass is currently the president of the Council on Foreign Relations and he's returning to his Alma Mater Oberlin College on Memorial Day to deliver the commencement address. He spoke with ideastream®'s Eric Wellman.
