The impasse continues in Columbus between Republican lawmakers and Governor Strickland who are working on a new state budget. The question is, how to fill a $3.2 billion deficit. The debate has focused on whether or not to legalize slot machines at race tracks. But a small group of Democrats say there's another option that's not being considered. In this week's edition of Upside/Downside, ideastream®'s Eric Wellman spoke with Mike Foley who says it may be time to rethink some of the tax cuts put in place by former governor Bob Taft. Foley represents Cleveland and some of its western suburbs in the state House. He says we can't cut our way out of this problem.
