The Obama Administration has set aside a pot of more than $4 billion to go to states in support of education. The Race to the Top fund is intended to help states establish and expand highly innovative programs that would serve as models for the nation. It's money that the Ohio Department of Education is aggressively applying to receive. Scott Stephens is the Senior Writer for the education magazine Catalyst Ohio.
