The debate over whether to bring casinos to Ohio is heating up again. Last week, the state's attorney general says not for another 20 years... Jim Petro says millions of dollars, a constitutional amendment and the will of the legislature will drag the debate out for two decades or more. But that hasn't deterred the Eastern Shawnee Tribe from buying up land, nor supporters who say its good for Ohio's ailing economy.

Our state parks are often talked about as one of Ohio's best assets. If you visit one this spring, bring your wallet. Starting in May, Ohio will become the 45th state to charge a fee if you want to park in a park - five bucks a pop, or $25 for the year. Chesterland Senator Tim Grendell was one of the lawmakers fighting the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to stop the fee. Both sides join us today on 90.3 at 9.

Others say the loss of revenue for our schools is just too high a price to pay. The mayor of cleveland is proposing new incentives for business to relocate.

No one actually owns the Cuyahoga River, but did you ever wonder who has the right to use its water. That's the issue right now before the Ohio Supreme Court, as smaller communities along the river battle with the City of Akron over its use. Akron says it was given the water's rights nearly 90 years ago. But the smaller communities say its a monopoly.

It's the most fought-over piece of property in Cleveland, yet the future of Whiskey Island remains unclear. The city of Cleveland has pledged to build a park on Whiskey Island, where the Port of Cleveland says it needs more space.
