Regardless of whether you believe that all politics is, in fact, local, voters this month and next are deciding on an array of very local races and issues, and they're all over the map, literally: from a possible municipality merger in Olmsted Township and Olmsted Falls, to an income tax hike in Elyria and the Ward 14 race in Cleveland between a member of the communist party and a member of the Green party. Join Dan Moulthrop Wednesday morning at 9 for a round up of the local races you'll decide. That's Wednesday morning at nine on 90.3.

Additional Information

Bill Grace, Mayor of Elyria
Rick Nagin, Ward 14 Cleveland City Council candidate
Brian Cummins, Ward 14 Cleveland City Council candidate
Steve Hoffman, Akron Beacon Journal

Note: On the program, Ward 14 candidate Rick Nagin closed by claiming his opponent, Brian Cummins, had voted against a salary reduction for council members and voted against funding an aquarium project in the Powerhouse Building in the Flats West Side. We said we would fact check those claims. Councilman Cummins explained that the salary question was in reference to a raise that had been voted in prior to his joining council. He supported keeping the raise intact. And he did vote against the aquarium funding because he supports a competing aquarium proposal that would create a substantially larger facility.
