My family is currently being treated for the swine flu-3 out of 4 of us have the flu.  Are we in danger of being reinfected if exposed to the virus again?

Diane Margosian 8:46 AM 10/19/09

I hope your family is feeling better, Diane.  Unless your diagnosis has been lab confirmed as H1N1 Swine Flu, it is possible that they could have contracted seasonal flu.  Consequently, it is recommended that people get vaccinated against both, if they are eligible.  Once you have seasonal flu or swine flu, you are protected for that season.
