The question is not so much how much should teachers be paid, but how should they be paid. The standard - based on years of service - may be about to change. A growing number of teachers are saying they want to be paid based on their performance. Now this is about more than just test scores, but identifying quality teaching isn't as simple as knowing it when you see it. Monday on The Sound of Ideas, we'll talk with teachers who are pushing for performance pay and with those who prefer the the status quo.
