Federal Government Sending $4 Million to Ohio for Job Training

Some of the 8,000 workers who may lose their jobs as DLH moves out of Wilmington Ohio are about to get some help finding new jobs.
The U.S. Labor Department has announced it's sending Ohio nearly S4 million. U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown talks about that with Ohio Public Radio's Bill Cohen.

Today is the American Cancer Society's Great American smokeout. The idea is simple, smokers are encouraged to try and quit for the day. If they can quit for a day, why not go for a week, or a month, or forever?
Certainly the reality is much more complicated than that. Iyaad Hasan heads up the Tobacco Treatment Center at the Cleveland Clinic. And he says the average smoker today is different than a generation ago.

Local, state and federal officials are scrambling to prevent an economic catastrophe in Southwest Ohio’s Clinton County. Package delivery firm DHL announced last week that it planned to shut down its North American air hub in Wilmington, which means as many as 8,000 jobs could be lost. ideastream®'s David C.
