Help Us Tell the Story

Working for less money than before the downturn?

More than five million Americans have already exhausted their unemployment benefits in 2009. Now, many of those are settling for jobs that pay much less than they were making before a layoff. Some go back to an employer for a lower salary. Others take jobs in the same business, but at a lower position or salary. It can take years to get back the kinds of earnings these people were pulling in before the recession.
