Some Ohio counties are in the process of reassesing home values, including Cuyahoga County. Letters are arriving with the county's new estimate of the worth of your house and most will show a reduction in value.

Lower property values will lead to lower tax revenues for cities and towns which almost certainly will lead to less government and affect services. Does that concern you and how should local government officials respond?

Even if the market value of your home is greater than the county says it is, would you forego challenging the valuation and the possibly of having your taxes reduced in order to maintain government services?
