Indianapolis Second Grader Takes an NFL Player to School

Call it the Super Bowl of Show and Tell. A second grader at Brook Park Elementary in Indianapolis caused a lot of excitement when he showed up at school with an NFL football player. Jaedon Ball was one of 34 kids around the country to win the JC Penny NFL Take a Player to School sweepstakes. Colts safety Bob Sanders talked to the kids about the NFL’s Play 60 campaign. It encourages young people to get 60 minutes of exercise every day.
Skills of Student Lego Engineers Tested in Robot Tournament

Students in the Cincinnati region spent three months figuring out how to build a robot that can perform tasks like save a model house from a flood, close shutters, and open windows. On Sunday, members of 35 teams found out if their robots were up to the task at a Lego robotics tournament.
It was held at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. Kids from the age of nine to fourteen made and programmed their robots from Lego kits, then had two and half minutes to complete up to eighteen challenges. Chinese Institutes Grow at American Universities

It's an arrangement only possible in an economically challenged, post-Cold War world where one superpower is starved for cash and the other needs an image makeover. Currently the Peoples Republic of China is paying for Chinese language courses on more than 300 American college campuses.
