Is the Biomedical Industry Sick?

Many like to say that the biomedical industry is where Northeast Ohio's future lies... But what if that industry actually isn't so healthy? For the last five years, research funding from the National Institutes of Health has been flat--that means fewer research grants going to universities across the country. Over time that could translate into fewer diseases cured and fewer jobs created in the industry our region is counting on. It's health and economic health, Monday at 9 a.m., on 90.3.

Guests:
Eric Fingerhut, Chancellor of the Board of Regents of the State of Ohio
Joseph Jankowski, Assistant Vice President, Life Sciences, Technology Transfer Office, Case Western Reserve University
Jill Rafael-Fortney, Associate Professor, Department Molecular and Cellular Biology, The Ohio State University
