As we look at ways we can help reinvent Northeast Ohio's economy, it's important to understand both our region's economic history and where we stand at this moment in time. The new "NEO Now" section of the Making Change website is designed to help us do just that.

When we talk about Northeast Ohio, we're talking about a region made up of Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, and Summit counties. The statistics outlined in the following research from the Center for Regional Economic Issues at Case Western Reserve University are not merely 'numbers'. There are significant policy implications that are derived from these that will profoundly impact Northeast Ohio's future economic health. By paying close attention to the story that these numbers highlight, we will be able to make informed decisions about the policies proposed by civic leaders. We will also be able to make better personal choices as we work together to build a stronger economy and a better quality of life here in Northeast Ohio.
