A Look Back...
A Look Ahead Press Release
January 22, 2004
How is Cleveland responding to the apparent national economic recovery?
What is the state of the public/private partnerships in Cleveland? What
role can individual citizens of Northeast Ohio play to move the community
forward? These and similar issues have been addressed in the A
QUIET CRISIS series over the past two-and-one-half years.
In
the newest installment of A QUIET CRISIS: A Look Back, A
Look Ahead - premiering Thursday, January 29, 9pm on WVIZ/PBS
and simulcast on 90.3 WCPN ideastream - we take a retrospective
look at social, political and development issues and their impact on
our community since the beginning of the A QUIET CRISIS
project. Five prominent leaders from Northeast Ohio will evaluate where
the community has been in the past three years, and will project ahead
to consider where we could – or should – be focusing energy
and resources.
Panel
participants include: Fred Nance, Cleveland Managing Partner, Squires
Sanders and Dempsey; Joe Roman, Executive Director, Cleveland Tomorrow;
Stephanie McHenry, Chief Operating Officer ShoreBank; David Abbott,
Executive Director, The George Gund Foundation; Mark Rosentraub, Dean,
Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs, Cleveland State University.
Plain Dealer reporter Joe Frolik moderates the panel discussion.
Dave Pignanelli, director of news and information for ideastream,
is the program host.
