As The U.S. Senate grapples with a healthcare bill, one of the goals is to bring down the cost of healthcare. Toby Cosgrove, CEO of the Cleveland Clinic, and others, have suggested that employers can play a role by giving their employees incentives to stay healthy. But can wellness programs really bring down the cost of healthcare and save companies money? In this week's edition of upside/downside, ideastream®'s Eric Wellman speaks with Ethan McPeake, a benefits consultant for the business consulting firm CBIZ, based in Independence. He says in the past five, ten years, the number of wellness programs has been ballooning. McPeake says some are more successful than others.

Police investigating the discovery of the remains of 11 women at a Cleveland home have expanded their search to a neighbor's property and left with several evidence bags.

There was no indication from police of what was removed.
With the renewed activity at the location, a stench returned, and neighbor Terrance Johnson says it's the worst he has smelled.

FBI agents are also looking for evidence that might tie Sowell to similar murders at other locations.
Meanwhile, residents of the Imperial Avenue neighborhood continue to ask whether the serial killings could have or should have been stopped sooner. That question dominated Wednesday's edition of 90.3's call-in show - The Sound of Ideas. David Molpus reports.

Bob Johnson of Avon, Ohio, was just a teenager when he enlisted in the military in the 1960's. It was before America engaged in the Vietnam War. Johnson never imagined he would be fighting in a foreign country. And he certainly never imagined the welcome, or lack thereof, when he came home. Johnson is a retired salesman and the father of former ideastream® producer Caitlin Johnson. Caitlin recently spoke with her father about his Vietnam experience.

Sesame Street turns 40 this week. The show debuted in 1969 with what at the time was a radical idea -- that television could be used to educate children. The show has made some tweaks over the years in order to stay up to date with the way children watch TV. But as ideastream®'s Eric Wellman found out, after 40 years, Oscar is still grouchy, Big Bird is still the tallest bird around, and Sesame Street continues to capture the imagination of children. We pay a visit to 123 Sesame Street.
