The following links offer resources for helping others cope with painful memories and current anxieties, as well as provide tips to promote one’s own sense of well being and peace of mind. NMHA is the country's oldest and largest nonprofit organization addressing all aspects of mental health and mental illness. Their online tips for “Coping with Disaster” offer suggestions for how to personally deal with the anniversary of September 11th, as well as how parents and teachers can help children, and how managers can help employees. This U.S. Department of Health and Human Services collection of resources offers advice to parents, teachers and military families about how to cope with war and terrorist events and fears. |
