Some of the most important stars of the silver screen here at Sundance are people you’ve probably never heard of. Does the name Bill Taggart mean anything to you? How about Jeffry Johnson or Scott Woodruff? You probably won’t see Orrville Kist’s name on any theater marquee. But, without these aforementioned fellows, movies just don’t happen. They are the guys back in the booth who run the various film and digital projection machines at the Park City Holiday Cinemas - one of several movie venues for Sundance Film Festival goers. And this quartet of projectionists all come from Greater Cleveland, which means a good many Sundance films have a Northeast Ohio touch. ideastream’s David C. Barnett paid a visit to the Holiday Cinemas booth and spoke with Bill Taggart, the dean of the team.
