Internship Available: TV Production Internship

Basic Function/Major Duties

The Intern in the Local TV Production area will learn about TV production while providing support and assistance to the team.

Examples of duties:
Learn/operate teleprompting system
Assist producers and videographers during field productions
Hang lights and move sets in the studio
Observe linear and non-linear edit sessions
Write copy script
Assist the Production Assistant in providing food and refreshments during production

Qualifications :

KNOWLEDGE:
Have knowledge of functions of basic pieces of TV production equipment
Have knowledge of TV production standards and practices.

EXPERIENCE: Classes or experience in TV production or Mass Media preferred

SKILLS/APTITUDES: Have knowledge of and enthusiasm for Public Radio/Television

EDUCATION:  Be in a formal educational program focused on Journalism or Communications preferably in a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree program.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

The Internship is unpaid; college credit must be granted for participation
Selected candidate will be available at between at least 16 hours a week, usually Monday – Friday with various start times.
Internships are available any quarter or semester but the student must be available for the entire semester or quarter ( at least 10 weeks)
